Located in the heart of downtown New Bedford, the Historic Wamsutta Club is a perfect location for your special celebration. It provides a private, comfortable and elegant setting, and reflects an era of yesteryear that no one else can offer for your special day.
There are two styles that our Club lends itself to, they are:
HORS D’ OEUVRES OR FOOD STATIONS RECEPTION
This selection lends itself to a more social atmosphere, using multiple rooms for maximum sociability. You may invite as many as 300 guests for this type of wedding.
It would consist of an array of hot and cold items, both served and positioned at stations throughout the Club. A customized selection that provides for a maximum of guest satisfaction, and choice. Seating is limited and non-structured. This style affords the guest the most flexibility of food selection and quantity, as well as the ability to socialize at will. This type of reception is customized for you and allows great flexibility in your menu and budget.
TRADITIONAL SERVED SIT DOWN RECEPTION
This selection is the most popular. Your guests are greeted in the Grille Room 
during the first hour for hors d’oeuvres and cocktails. A traditional three course dinner is then served in the Main Dining Room. The Main Dining Room will accommodate up to 150 guests with 15 round tables of ten. A dance floor located at the top of the room may also be used for additional seating, with dancing moved to an adjacent room. The smaller South Lounge, can be reserved for smaller intimate weddings of 50 people or less.
The Wamsutta Club will only allow one wedding per day and is exclusively reserved
for your wedding to take place at your convenience. This way you are not restricted to a morning or evening reception. You will be scheduled five hours for your reception. The hours, may be scheduled at any time during the day or evening.
The Wamsutta Club also offers the perfect setting for your wedding ceremony. With several locations throughout the Club to choose from, we are sure that we can create the perfect memory for your special day.
