1866 Rounder's Club Membership Information

The Members of the Wamsutta Club encourage you to accept an invitation to join our 1866 Rounders’ Club. This will give you the ability to enjoy an exclusive members only club for some quiet time and fellowship in the renovated Cellarette here at the Club.

Confident that your experience will be positive, this invitation is presented to introduce you to 1866 Rounders’ Club, which is limited to 186 invitees. 1866 Rounders’ Club has established an annual fee of $186.60 for a single membership and $279.90 for a couples membership. Upon completion of the application form and receipt of your payment, you are entitled to all 1866 Rounders’ Club privileges. We hope that you consider this invitation, and enjoy your membership here at the Wamsutta Club.

1866 Rounder’s Club 

Rules and Regulations

The 1866 Rounder’s Club is a club within the Wamsutta Club and shall in all respects be held to all rules and regulations of the Wamsutta Club as set forth by the Board of Directors.  The Directors may from time to time on their own initiative amend and discontinue rules dealing with the preservation, protection, and use of the clubs property and the conduct of members and their guest while upon the premises

  • All members shall be bound by and observe all rules and shall be responsible for the observance of said rules by their guests.
  • All rules shall remain in full force and effect until amended or discontinued by the Wamsutta Club Board of Directors.
  • The admission to the 1866 Rounder’s Club House and use of its facilities shall be restricted to members only.
  • A member may invite any non-member, not disqualified under these rules into the Rounder’s Club as his or her guest, provided that no person may visit the Club House as a guest more often than two visits in a 30-day period.
  • All members must sign guest name and date into the visitor’s book at the entrance to the 1866 Rounder’s Club kept for that purpose.
  • Members must carry their membership card to the 1866 Rounder’s Club for identity purposes.
  • All 1866 Rounder’s Club members must enter and exit from the Charles Clifford Cellerette door only.
  • 1866 Rounder’s Club members are not allowed access to upstairs Wamsutta Club facilities, unless accompanied by a manager, or Wamsutta Club member.
  • 1866 Rounder’s Club members are not permitted to leave their vehicles in the clubs parking lot unless they are in the building.
  • 1866 Rounder’s Club member may be expelled from membership, if his or her conduct in or outside of the club has been of such a nature as to be detrimental to the reputation of the club, or seriously offensive to the membership.
  • All members are required to conduct themselves in a respectful manner. Any physical altercation will result in dismissal of membership with no refunds.  Said member will lose membership privileges and will not be allowed to enter the clubhouse or to be on Club property.
  • Members and their guests, are required to at all times to comply with the rules and regulations demanded by the Liquor Licensing Board of New Bedford.
  • No alcoholic beverages are to be taken outside of the building at any time; this includes the smoker’s dugout.
  • This membership is valid for a one-year term at which time it shall be renewable in said month it became effective.
  • This membership may be upgraded to a full privilege Wamsutta Club membership at any time. To ask questions or for further information, please ask the manager.
