The Bierstadt Art Society is a collaborative of local artists and art enthusiasts working to foster personal growth and excellence in the visual arts as exemplified by the life and work of famed New Bedford artist, Albert Bierstadt. Through its member exhibitions and programs, the Society provides opportunities where artists may exhibit their works, discuss ideas and provide encouragement and inspiration for one another. The society endeavors to create a unique forum for the visual arts that sustains and enriches artistic life in greater New Bedford. The Bierstadt Art Society meets on the 4th Wednesday of the month for a board meeting and a demonstration from a different member each month showing various forms of artistic skills.

An artist of the month reception is held on the 2nd Thursday of every month (AHA Night). Refreshments are available and the artist(s) are here to meet you and answer your questions about their pieces. Artwork is available to purchase.
